Creating a Sunny Seattle Garden with no Lawn

A dogwood tree shaded the front yard and blocked the light into the house.  Our clients wanted a place to sit and entertain in the sun without a lawn to mow.
With the tree and lawn removed, we created a beautiful stone patio in orange tones to set the color scheme for the garden.

The new flagstone patio is a sunny space.

The flagstone patio anchors the front garden paths.

The side yard was sunny but boring.

Natural stepping stones lead the way past new flower beds to the back gate.
